funny thing happened today, i was at a local muffler shop useing their lift to "check out" the underside of my truck, and we tapped on the muffler to see if it was "ok" and it fell off!!! they didn't have anything but a straight peice of pipe to put there so that is what we did

it is not as loud as i figured it would be and it runs lots better than i thought
guess it wasn't bad luck after all!!

 

Haha! mine fell off without me even tapping on it...Dodge really should issue a recall for these mufflers..

 

Same here, 2001 and it fell off 3 months afterthe warranty ended

 

I bought a 99 about a year ago... The muffler and the pipe that goes over the axle disapeared a few days after I bought it...
