Max Boost

I know I have seen it on this site somewhere but cant seem to find it. [undecided]<br>What is the max boost pressure I should see out of 2002 24 valver that is bone stock?<br>Im seeing around 18-19 WOT, does that sound about right?<br><br>Keith

I belive that's what the stock, unmodified wastegate is set at.

Even if you defeat the wastegate you will never get above the 20 lb range as the manifold pressure sensor will cut off the fuel when the boost goes above the factory settings. You can defeat the manifold pressure sensor with one of the power booster computer kits, and get a bit more pressure.

what will unpluging the map sensor do? On my friends truck with a 70 hp fuel box it made it smoke and run around 32 psi of boost.

Dman, your friends fueling box has a boost fooler on it. What that does is trick the MAP sensor into thinking it is only seeing 20 pis when in fact it is really seeing 30 or so.
