MAP Sensor nut/bolt size?

Does anyone know what size wrench/socket is necessary to remove the map sensor? The manual only calls for it to be torqued to 10ft lbs, but I cannot get it off with my hand?

My TST isn't fueling as hard as it should and after over an hour Q & A session with Scott today we think it is one of two things. 1) MAP sensor 2) Tired VP witch was replaced less than 15K.

Since the MAP sensor is $70 and the VP is $850-$1600 depending on vendors I think the MAP is the best place to start!

I just changed mine a few weeks ago. If I can remember that far back I think it is 1 1/4 deep.

Based on the threads that I've seen in the past, you need a 32mm wrench or deep socket for the MAP. However, having never removed the sensor myself I can't say for certain this is correct. Do a search on this site and/or the TDR site and you should come up with something definitive.

Thanks guys, it was a 1 1/4". Just barely tighter than what I could get by hand.

darrenG, there was a vendor mentioned here on DTR last week sometime offering the $850 deal on VP's. I don't recall who though.
