I ordered a Map Sensor (#4921505) from www.hoeslidiesel.com/store for my 01 2500. I got it today and it takes a socket size 1 1/8 deep socket (got one). But when I tried to fit the socket to the sensor that is currently on the truck the socket is too small...I tried a 1 1/4 but that doesn't fit either....I'm guessing it takes a 1 1/2 (don't got one in my tool box, so I'll go get one tomorrow). Question: did they send me the correct part nr or is there a difference?? -dan

 

If they have the same plug it's probably ok.

 

I had the same problem.....original was larger than replacement but worked just fine. I just broke the original plastic off as I didn't have the correct size in a deep well but had a shallow socket.

 

I also ordered one MAP from hoesli! arrived one week ago...bought the socket for the new sensor...but the one on my ram is larger! I'll go buying a correct socket next week but I think it's the right part w different socket.
