MAP SENSER ON 24 VALVE
Re:MAP SENSER ON 24 VALVE
Lost 3 hours on phone today about this subject. 2.5 hours here. Whats up with this. Learned that from my kid. Going to bed. No help here today. Somebody's got to know something. Try again tomorrow.
Re:MAP SENSER ON 24 VALVE
See if this helps.
Be sure to take the IAT sensor out and clean it up with some brake cleaner or carb cleaner. This sensor has been known to cause low mpg and power problems when it becomes dirty.

Re:MAP SENSER ON 24 VALVE
I have a 2000 model and my check engine light came on. so I take it to the dealer and they said it was due to the map sensor not getting a reading. My question is my check engine light is now off (not reset by the dealer) and the truck now seems to be running alright. Do I still need to replace the map sensor or not. <br> Thanks Doug

If the dealer reset and all is OK it was probably the box or you could have had a dirty connection at the MAP.
