ok guys i have researched for 2 days trying to find an answer and have come up with nothing. my 2001 has 111,000 miles on it and i love it, but the past week it goes thru spells where it has very low power. i replaced the vp44 about 3 yrs ago and put in a raptor pump and my fuel psi stays 15idle and 7 wot. when it has a loss of power it will go but acts like it is not fueling(on a hill have to floor it to maintain speed.) well i changed the fuel filter and it did not help. my edge comp had a issue 2 months ago and locked up with all leds turned on. also when this happens the fuel psi will only drop to 10psi but i noticed that after the new filter. any suggestions?? by the way no codes at all in the computer and i unhooked the comp today but have not gone out since it is 102* here today. thanks for any help

 

Check or clean MAP sensor....mine had no codes ....they get a film of oil on them if you have an oiled air filter...worth a try.

 

I have had a map sensor do this but it did turn the cel on. It would run about 50 mph. The VP-44 will do this but either of these should set a code.

 

Thanks for the replies I ended up calling edge they thought it was the comp and I sent it in and for $334.00 they sent me a new edge comp and upgraded it to drag comp for free! So I installed it on my wedding day and it has run like a champ since
