I don't know. I didn't check lastnight due to weather (pouring rain) but this sound hasn't always been there. It's new to the truck in maybe the last 6 months.

Check your intercooler boots, especially the lower boots, and really lokk close at the boot on the passenger side,, on the intercooler side, and make sure the A/C senor is not rubbing on the intercooler.

It sounds like you have a boost leak. And a big one at that.

Or a dieing turbo

Not that bad,, put some Mach 2's, an HX-40/16, and an EZ and you'll be good to go.

An EZ?? Why replace my Comp?

I just talked to a Buddy that is a local Mech at the Chevy place. I had him call HIS BUDDY at the Dodge Place.

The Dodge Place suggested that I check the Back two Exhaust manifold bolts as tehy tend to loosen, and cause a similar sound. But, if it fails, to just bring the truck in under the 7/70 and they will over look the Chip and pipe.

See, in this small of a town, you can't get anything done unless you know someone, because before I even called, they knew which truck my friend at the Chevy place was talking about.

Exclamation

Well, I finally got a chance to look. The rear, upper exhaust manifold bolt is completely missing, and I didn't bother to check the tightness of the rest.

I have to make an apt tomorrow.

In case they (the dealer) haven't stumbled across it yet the new tool kit for the 04 diesels has a tool for charging the air inlet system with regulated air. Works great to find leaky boots and to see what psi your waste gate opens at.
