Lift pump shoping
I just called NAPA here, they carry the Carter(they call it an in-line pump) for with $190, with LIFETIME warranty. Call your NAPA dealer, see if you get the same result. With a relo kit and $190 liftetime, I might lbe able to live with that. If it craps out, put on a spare, and repeat,
If that happens to often, then maybe FASS 2. But this might be worth a try, or at least getting a spare for the road. Would beat being in BFE being SOL with the cold north wind, or worse.
For what it's worth!

As far as I could see, the stock pump came with a wireing pigtail, and smaller inlet and outlet fittings for the banjo bolts. the Carter HP4601 has 3/8 npt inlet and out let holes, and no wireing pigtale. (Just my observation)
Holley Black?
I know that there are some people running the Holley Blue, but is anyone running the Holley Black? I just looked up some prices, and the black is only $30 more. The black flows 120gph @ 9psi, while the blue flows 88gph @ 9psi. The extra fuel should help to keep the VP a lot cooler and support more power. The black does draw 1 more amp, but that shouldn't be enough to bother.
