depends on if you want to go back with a stock liftpump or go aftermarket"FASS, Airdog" I'm running the FASS system with replaces the lift pump and stock filter.

Personally, I'm looking for a stock replacement as I'm still under warrantee.

About the only choices you really have are FASS, Walbro, Product Engineering"PE" and Holley Blue and Black. If you do a search on any of these the pro's and cons of each have been argued about all over this site. There is good and bad experiences with all of them. I forgot to mention back to the stock pump which is a Carter.

I like my bullydog pump. I was running about 12 idle and 2 WOT, Installed that and now up to 19 idle, and 10 WOT
Fairly cheap as well-- ~$230

Most recommend against the "new and improved" in-tank pump - which is the only pump you can get from a Dodge dealer.

A cheap place for a stock pump is:

look into the fuel manager system from scheid diesel it is a compact efficient system manufactured by stanadyne. I dont believe in adding anything to my system, but if i did this would be it.

The Carter has done fine by me, 100K+ miles on it, 16+psi at idle, 13 at WOT at 32psi boost. Napa has them at $160. (I am carrying a spare...)

Lift Pump

My 99 with 147,000 was hard to start in the mornings so I replaced the lift pump with a new Cummins pump. It didn't help. The problem was a check valve inside the fuel tank that let the fuel drain back into the tank after 6 or so hours and caused starting problems. I then replaced it with the in tank pump and it starts fine.
