Question about how long does lift pump runs when key is turned on,mine runs a second only,my other CTD 98.5 2500 24V ran few seconds longer.Can I check pressure pre filter if so where.

If you don't start the truck, that lift pump will run for about
18-20 seconds.

the pump should run for 25 seconds. you have to turn the key on and bump the starter to make it run.
