Another Air Box Mod
Another Air Box Mod
I cut a hole in the bottom of my air box and added a filter and screen. Since I do some driving in dusty conditions, (the inside of the box is a dead give away) I thought adding a little pre filter wouldn't hurt any thing. I drove it about 75 miles today and really couldn't tell much difference. This could be because of my "over 80* outside temp acceleration problem", and it was well over 80*.
I also took the intake air temp sensor out and cleaned it. It had very little carbon on it, and appeared to be in good condition. As I said, I couldn't tell that helped either.
At least it didn't cost much to try it.
Home Depot:
$1.29: 6x36 drain gutter cover
$2.95: Filter material. Home AC type
$ .83: Screws and nuts
$ .83: Lock Washers
$1.67: L brackets
If anyone has any more ideas on the hot weather acceleration problem, please let me know.

Not to mention needing to take a loan out for a gallon of milk!
