IP problems ?

IP problems ?

I have an 01 4x4, all stock. Cranks over fine but no start. Fuel press. @ IP is 11 psi. Codes read,, p1693, 0230, 1689, 0252, 1688. If it is the IP is there any tricks to replacing it,,,, How is it timed?

You have symptons and codes to support your evulation.
Keyed IP is a no brainer. Just align keyway as pump goes into gear. Need a good steering wheel puller to loosen IP shaft from gear.
Paint the supplied key in order to see through gear when installing.
There are plenty posts on replacing. Search VP44 replace. Good luck.

Yep, with a p1688 you are almost for sure replacing your pump. Just make absolutly sure you get the key way to line up to the 12 oclock position. THIS IS NOT TDC!! If you have it at tdc and then pop the gear loose, you might drop the key way down all the way into the oil pan. Just remove the road draft tube filter and turn the motor over until you line it up to 12 oclock and start workin!
