You never think its going to happen to you. I'm 44 years old and have never had a Diesel truck, that is until six months ago. Drove it off the lot and thought, that was the best money I've ever spent. It is a 2002 Quad Cab, and had 94,000 miles when I bought it, as of 2-1-07 it now has 107,000 which I'm sure you guessed is 7,000 miles over warrenty. Injector Pump went bad today, (dead pedal, code 0216 all the indications of bad IP) took it to the dealer just to verify or hoping they would cut me a break, but with no luck, I drove it back home. And home is where it sets. Oh by the way, the dealer wanted $2400.00 to fix. My question to all is, where can I get the best deal on a IP, is it cheaper through Cummings, Parts Supply, looking for some direction from experienced owners.

I don't know how much it would be thru "Cummings", but you might do better if you checked with "Cummins".
There are a number of vendors out there where you can get it for a little over a thousand. Mine died at the dealers with 128,000. The final bill with the intank lift pump modofication was (drum roll please!)......$3300.00

At the top of this page, there should be an ad where a DTR advertiser will sell you a new VP44 for just over $1000. Then you need to find a diesel shop that will install it. Should be less than the dealer quote.
If that doesn't do it for you, do a search for "VP44 Price" on this site and Google, and see what you can come up with.
