need some help from the 24v guys. i am trying to help a friend out. his injector pump quit and the shop he took it to said the "key" on the back of the pump has fouled the pump. my question is what is the key they are talking about and is $3000.00 close to the right price to repair it. i am sorry this is so vague but any info would be helpful. thanks

 

NO. basically, you can get the pump for a grand and do the labor yourself. Very easy install. Now the key they are talking about is like any "key" on a pto or any gear or what-have-you. in short, it makes the shaft of the vp turn at the same speed of the gear. aka "woodrift key"

 

ok. that is what i thought but was not sure. as far as installing it himself, he has no mechanical experiance so he sent it to a shop. thanks for the info

 

I have changed 3 this week there going out left and right.

 

Yea had mine go out today too. No signs of dead pedal, no codes just a couple caughs and a dead truck on the side of the road. Thankfully I bought extended warranty, only 100 deductable. Good luck!
