Injection pump question?

Injection pump question?
Can a 1st gen pump be put on a 2nd gen 24 valve with auto trans? Looking to get away from the electronic pump on my 24 valve in favor of the mechanical.

I really don't think you'd want to go to a 1st Gen VE pump some of them are going to the 2nd Gen P-pump... but its do able.. but you would just have to get custom lines built... and either build a custom mount for the pump.. or get the timing case off a first gen.. Not sure what other little things you would need...
Do a search for P-Pump conversions.. and it will give you an idea... just a different pump...

There is a P-Pump conversion kit... It's very expensive... You got to buy the pump, the injection lines, etc. Then there is other problem you got to contend with like ECU/PCU computers looking for the old injection pump...
If it was me I would stay with the electronics... Better timing and flexible... Compared to FIXED timing...
