I'm Stupid

Greetings All,

I just changed the transmission lines on my truck. All went well I thought. I put it all back together and was replacing the fluid lost. The vehicle was running and I looked under to see if there were any leaks. Low and behold it was pouring out. S&$T, Got underneath and the case where the fitting goes into the back of the case was cracked. There was no cracking sound and I did not CRANK on it either. This is only a one year old trans. Has anybody EVER heard of this?

Is this semi-common or am I really dumb as a box of rocks (without the box).

Any suggestions? Please don't tell me JB Weld, it didn't work.
