Hydro-flow ?

Could someone who paid more attention in school please explain to me how my new LP can flow more volume at the same 10 psi and line diameter than my old pump did at 10 psi thru the same line. The dealership mechanic said the in tank pumps flow at a higher rate than the block mounted pump. How can this be possible at the same pressure and volume capability?
I'm not picking on the mechanic, he is good and tried to explain but I just couldn't see how I'm getting more fuel thru the VP at the same pressure and hose size that I had before my LP went out.

Thanks, Kurt

The theory is that pumps push better than they pull. So a pump in the tank can push that fluid easier than a block mounted pump can pull it.

The difference is that your block mounted pump wasn't maintaining 10psi when you really pushed the engine hard. It couldn't meet the demand and would lose pressure and volume. A pump mounted in the tank has an easier time meeting the demand.

Thats the theory anyway. You know what they say about Communism...looked good on paper....
