Need your help

My truck just stopped running and had to get towed. Got a 1688 code "internal fuel injection pump controler failure"

I have a fuel pressure guage and my pressure is 13-15 lb, I run 2 stroke oil, 127000 miles on 99 truck

Is this my injector pump died and I need a new injector pump?

If so can you guys give me some info on the best place to get a pump

My truck is stock no box or anything

1688, the injection pump is dead. Take a look at midwest fuel injection, they have decent prices on VPs.

 

Same code for me...........1200 miles from home and 200K on the truck. The FASS will help extend the life of the pump, but they will all fail eventually. Even the Cummins shop that put on the new VP said the FASS helped extend its life.
