Which hx35 is best

Ok, now that I have over 260000 miles on the girl, I thinking it might be a good idea to replace injectors and turbo before I end up with a bigger bill. I have therapy hy35 and it works awesome for my current setup. But I thinking if I am going to replace the sticks, I will do it with F1 1.6's. And with them, probably a little bigger turbo. I think the hx35 will work fine, but so many models. I remember years ago looking on the sight and seeing which one was best, but can't find it anymore. Any input?

Are you having problems with your current setup? Shouldn't have to replace anything unless you're having problems or wanting to turn up the power.

Turning up a little going from stock injectors to 1.6s. And wouldn't think the hy would last as long as it has. 260,000 miles on a turbo seems to me like it might be a good idea to replace before I have trouble. Also I've heard you can't rebuild the hy35

I want the hx35 with the hose to be able to adjust the waist gate.

Turbos will last a very long time when taken care of. Shutting down at around 300ºF, nothing solid going through the compressor, plus keeping corrosion under control and they will go the distance.

An HX35 will likely do better for you and will help with EGT. You may be able to run a HX35/40 hybrid or even a full HX40.

I replaced my HY with an HX. Cooled the EGT right down.

cougar, where did you find your HX? It's something I've been considering for my truck to keep the EGT down while towing.

I went to a hybrid 35/40. And the biggest thing I noticed was a bigger compressor side and a smaller bank account. That said, I'm only running parts that you can buy from a cummins dealer, f1 sticks might make a difference. I have basic 275s

For parts. I can only relate from experience. Rip Rook at source automotive. One of the most stand up guys you could ever hope to deal with.

From a local guy who upgraded to an S300. You can find them from time to time on craigslist. Fleebay always has them, but I'd rather buy local so I can put my fingers on it. There is an HX40 up in Fairbanks I'd like to put on my 1st gen, but like pind said $$$$.
