Howes fuel additive

My local truck stop has Howes Fuel additive on sale for $10/gal - treats 750 gals.

Anybody have any experience with this product? I currently use Stanadyne, but the price is right on the Howes.

My local Cummins dealer sells Howes.......I have been using it for awhile now.....I can't say that the engine is any quieter with it but the VP44 and LP have lasted a very long time (knock on wood! ) so I suppose it is doing it's job.

Diesel Treat is great for anti-gel and some lubricity. Outside of that it really falls behind other additives. It actually lowers cetane.
Stay with the Stanadyne.

I used Howes antigel / cetane booster and my tank gelled......I had to use diesel911 and let it sit all day til i got it fired off.....I swore off of it.

If it wont start they pay for the tow....thats what it says on the bottle i had.

Did you read the fine print? You have to buy a full case of gallon jugs once a year to qualify for a free tow.
