HELP!!! Tranny oil everywhere

So I get home from pulling my 5er. When I get close to my house I notice the tranny is having a hard time like it is low on fluid. So I look under when I get home and the hole underneath is coated with tranny oil. It looks like it is leaking from the tranny heat exchanger rear line. I tried tightening but it still leaks. Do these crack or what is common. I have been searching and it sounds like most people replace it with hyd hose and jic fittings.

Dodge has updated lines and fittings. Last one I did was around $200 with new steel lines and the two hoses with disconnects. hyd hoses might be cheaper way to go.

check the cooler lines where they head into the radiator. trace them back towards the trans. look carefuly where they are close to the frame of the truck. sometimes the lines will rub on the frame and will make a hole in the line. I had that happen to me.

I found a crack in the flare the hooks to the heat exchanger. I called dodge and they said they could get me one for 50.00. They are not sure if the one they ordered is the right one. So I will have to check when it comes in.

So I got the new line on and put some oil in. I had to put 4 quarts in. It still shifts good. Do you guys think I am alright. I guess time will tell. On a good note my truck is now rust proof from all the atf on the frame.

YEs, time will tell. It is only rust proof on part of the truck. Gotta have something else let go to finish the job.

So I get home from work today and notice my truck leaking again. I think I cracked the new line . Do you think my motor could be moving causing this to flex. I have to let it cool off before I take it off.
