Help! Fuel Pressure
I just installed isspro fuel, boost, and egt. My fuel pressure only reads around 3-4 psi. at idle, sometimes less. Changed the fuel filter thought maybe it was dirty. Now I cant get it to prime back up. I took the little screw out of the isolator and cant get nothing through it. Is there a trick to get these things to prime up or is the lift pump bad? Thanks
I think I am going to get an Air Dog 100. Just bought the truck and put the fuel press gauge on. Don't know how long the LP has been weak or not working at all. Hope it wasn't to hard on the VP. Will the motor run normal even if the LP is not pumping at all?

, holds steady fuel pressue according to my ISSPRO gauge at about 14.8 to 15 psi.
Most of the stock lift pumps had a bypass valve that allows the vp to suck through the dead lift pump. This creates a high heat, low lubrication type scenario for the vp, which supposedly relies on the constant, unrestricted flow of fuel to cool and lubricate. The motor will run pretty normal with the dead lift pump, but there is a high probability that the vp has been damaged if you've been running like that for a long period of time. Hopefully, it's still ok. Good luck.

On my 01, no, it's snug with the head and arm stuck up there but's very do-able, mines a long bed, I don't know if that matters or not----- I took my water hose and spray nozzle and sprayed the top of the tank good to get all the grime out of the way, then blew it off with my air hose.
The harder piece to me was the return line hook up,,,, but I laid out the cut lines on the filler tube and cut it with a reciprcating saw between the lines so I could twist off the hose fairly easy, then made the final cuts outside the truck.

With the 100, you can use the stock fuel pickup. You don't have to drop the tank or do anything with the bed unless you install a draw straw.
The most difficult part was fooling with the connection on top of the tank, just because it's hard to reach and hard to see what's going on there. The rest of it was very straight forward. Make sure you put the pushlock fittings in the freezer before assembly.
