Getting Started

I just bought my first diesel RAM. A 2001 2500 RAM SWB. I have been reading up on the CTD and am wondering if anyone would help me out with some mods I can do to get started. I cant make any major mods to the drivetrain right now so I just want to pep it up a bit. Ohh and it's an automatic also.

Also if anyone has a suggested book to pick up that will help me on my journey I'd appreciate that also.

RAMTECH

Re:Getting Started

welcome to the site. The first thing you can do is help it breathe and get those exhaust gases out. You can then add an edge ez for a little power after that i think you have beef up your tranny

Re:Getting Started

I've been looking at the various exhaust sytems. Can anyone tell me are there any significant advantages to the dual tail pipe system instead of the single. Also is there that much difference between 4 or 5 inch.

thanks.
Re:Getting Started

scotty II is easy to install dual exhaust is more for sound and looks then anything else. I believe you dont get much difference from a 4 to a 5. I would just spend the money for a 4

Re:Getting Started

I think the hush mode configuration is to keep the turbo wine down. What the performance differences are Im not sure. I read it in one of the forums on the site.

RAMTECH
