I have been having some issues with my 99 Dodge 2500 Cummins 24v. I recently replaced the injector pump, lifter pump and fuel filter due to injector pump failure. Installation went well and truck was running great then it suddenly died on way to work. Suspected injector pump again, so had it bench tested by local shop, all ok with IP. Have 9psi from lifter pump, have crankshaft sensor signal and camshaft signal. I did find my fuel temp sensor reading is way out of wack ... like 152,500°F or something crazy like that. Do any of you know if that will keep engine from running? I am assuming sensor is bad but cant find any info on how to test it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If that lift pump fuel pressure is at idle, that might be part of your problem.
With a good stock Lift Pump, Fuel pressure at idle should be around 15 psi and only dropping to around 10 psi at Wide Open Throttle.
There have been a few cases of Crank & Camshaft sensors going bad.
It might not hurt to swap them out for new replacements.

Ok thks, may try that. Alittle suspicious of that temp sensor reading though. Was able to find that Bosch max recommended fuel temp is 160°F but no indication if a reading higher than that will tell ECM to shut down fuel supply.
Also check all the boost hose connections to be sure one hasn't partially slipped off, or a clamp is loose.
Considering that aluminum melts at around 1300 degrees, I would think a fuel temp reading of 152,000 degrees would make the ECM think you were driving on the sun.
