Expected MAP sensor readings??
I purchased a ScanGauge to use for all of my vehicles (bought one but it is universal). So far it has been pretty accurate. I can view and clear any codes with this tool and monitor a number of parameters.
I can monitor IAT, MAP, TPS position, Load, RPM, Water Temp, and a others via the Trip monitor.
The Trip monitor will show you max rpm, max mph, average mph, max cooling temp. It is displayed for each trip as well as current day and previous day.
On my gasoline vehicles I have a lot more I can monitor as it relates to fuel economy.
My MAP sensor reading is 29.9 at idle and 37.3 max.
I know with a non-turbo vehicle these would not be normal. I am not sure what I should be reading on this truck.
And ideas?

"This indicates the pressure in the intake manifold. It
is reported in pounds-per-square-inch (PSI) by
default but can be changed to kilo-pascals (KPA) if
desired.
At sea level, the pressure at wide open throttle can
be as high as 15 PSI or 10kPA. If the engine is
turbocharged or supercharged, the pressure can be
higher than this."
Would the boost at idle be that great as to increase the pressure 2X?

MAP = Manifold Absolute Pressure so with no boost, the pressure will be 1 atmosphere or 29.9" Hg. (14.7 psi @ sea level). A reading of 37.3 is equivalent to 18.3 psi (@ sea level) If that's your max boost pressure, it seems a bit low. It should go to about 21 or 22 psi.
