Fuel Mileage Getting Worse
Ever since new my '02 2500 has been running around 12 - 13 mpg with the 9'10" Lance camper on board. For a while now, it's been down to just 10 mpg, and the difference hurts at these fuel prices. I'm on back roads quite a bit, and out in the desert, so 1st thing I did was check the Scotty II air filter. Yup, real dirty, so I took my K&N filter cleaning kit, and did the whole thing according to directions, including normal water flow from a hose to rinse it out, and no blowing with air. It still is getting just 10 mpg on highway trips, but EGT is way down, so it made a difference. Mileage is worse around town. What else can I check ?? Fuel filter is new, fuel pressure is at 18 psi, which is normal for this rig. (I have a booster pump installed by Oregon Fuel Injection feeding the lift pump) Tires are at 75 psi front, 85 psi rear. I dunno.

Have run a 8.5' Fleetwood Angler on my 02' 3500 for a few years, and at worst about 10.5mpg and at best up to about 16mpg. No bright ideas for ya, sorry.[IMG][/IMG]

You might try adding 2 cycle oil to your fuel... If the ULSD is there. I don't know if it will improve you MPG numbers since your hauling heavy... Seem to keep me up to 14.3 MPG with all this...
To get to this wood spot I got to drive 35 miles one way. 15 miles on the highway @ 65 MPH and 20 miles up a dirt road. I've got to climb 4,500 feet vertical at about 25 MPH.
On the return home I'm so heavy that going from the Town of Riggins back home on the highway the little bit of grade I've got to climb I can bearly make it at about 60 MPH with full 20 PSI boost and 1200*F pyro. Running nearly WOT!
You might also check your MAP ans IAT sensors since they control fueling rates...
