0216 code???

Ok bout 2 weeks ago I desided to dump the stock lift pump for the in tank conversion that Mopar offers. The truck was acting a little funny when the fuel would get near or below 1/4 tank. It would buck some. It tried to die a few times also. So we desided to do the conversion, the truck runs and starts fine ..I got bored today and check for trouble codes...it flashed p-1693 then p-0216......It runs fine now, even run it down on fuel no bucking hard starting, or tring to die?

I need to know somthing asap, can i clear the code see if it comes back?, Im thinking maybe it was there before replacement of the LP for the in tank version?

Reset the codes and see if it comes back. If nothing else you have at least starved the IP enough to throw a code and shorten it's already dismal life span.

If its still under warranty, take it to the dealer and have them check it out. If its not under warranty, take it to autozone or advance auto and see if they'll clear the code. If it comes back your probably screwed and will need a new injection pump. So start a savin'!

Need year, etc info on your truck! Fill in Signature, please.
If you checked codes with the key, you must have an 01 or 02??
If the problem no longer exists... the code will disappear in 10 +/- starts.

He's right... The error codes will clear themselves if there is no longer a problem. But if the problem is still there it will keep the error code. When I lost my VP44 (Code P0216) it lasted the whole 3 weeks till the pump got replaced.

P0216 "Go Away", I would be throughly suprised.

I submit that your injection pump problems were looming long before you decided to swap LP's.

If it is a 2002 with less than 100,000 miles get it to a dealer right away.
