Factory Service. Need Help!!

Hello all,
Here is the history. I own a 01 quad cab 4x4 diesel with 65000 miles. Four weeks ago it belched out white smole and went into "SAFE" mode (slow drive) I took it to the dealer (nice people) they warranteed it said it was the lift pump and did an update install. (Tank install) I got it back four or five days later. It went into safe mode the next morning. I took it back they had it for two days called and said they were putting in intake heater and injection pump. Six to seven days later they said the injection pump was a nightmare job but they did it (nice people) took it home about 35 miles from dealer. Got home there was oil everywhere. The engine bay, coming out over the fenders, the headlight even got onto the tailgate and rear axle. I checked the dipstick (oil) and it said it was over by about and inch and a half the full line. I had it towed back in to the dealer. Six days later they said the injection pump (Third one in three weeks) had put fuel into the crankcase and thats why oil was evrywhere. They detailed in and out of vehicle and put in a new injection pump. I asked if any damage had happened in the motor and they said no everything checked ok. My concerns are the following.
1. Any terminal damge to motor
2. there lack of knowlege costing my future with my truck
3. Is this truely that bad a part or is the dealer to blame
like i said theyve been cool all along but then again so have i. I havent complained or yelled at all. What should i do from this point i still have 35000 miles and til 08 for my warranty but i plan to keep my truck well beyond. Any help would be appreciated

There is no signature, but it sounds like your way past the lemon law and a shop that needs some techs, not parts changers. sorry nothing occurs to me except mybe you need to mod that truck.

As many lift pumps and injection pumps I put on VP equipped trucks I feel like a parts changer! Here's how I see it: #1 visit. Lift pump dead. They installed a new one. There may have been a p0216 code along with others, but by the book, if the lift pump fails you are to install a new one, clear the codes and drive it. It the truck runs, and no codes appear it's to be returned to the customer. #2 visit. Injection pump was most likely bad at the first visit, but they don't always show it, and will often run just fine, but act up whenver they feel (read up on the krap electronics on the VP). #3 visit. Personally I've never heard of a VP flooding fuel into a crankcase, but it is probably possible. Quality reman pump is now making the service dept look bad. been there done that.

Things that raise concern: "injection pump = nightmare job" Pretty simple install and most dealers have the pumps in stock. You mentioned "injection pump (third one in three weeks)"....I'm only counting a lift pump, an injection pump, and now another injection pump after the oil everywhere scenario. Am i missing something?

when i picked up a loaner truck they told me they had put a first injection pump that had broken or fallen apart (said something sheared off the end?) in acuality the first injection pump change was two lnjection pump changes.

Only thing I can think of that would "sheer off the end" would be the key on the pump. I had one go nine miles one time and grenaded internally, but that was years ago with the "black beauty" CZECH re-mans.

You need to call Chrysler and tell them what is happening also call the Owner of that Dealership where the work is being done.

Sounds like you need to tell the dealer they need to keep the truck until it's right. You're driving their vehicle. It's not likely that Chrysler will give you a new truck at this point so the only options are you let them keep trying to fix it or take it somewhere else and pay for it. Again, I'd suggest you tell them you don't want the truck back until it's right. Let their diesel mechanic put some miles on it for a week or two to shake it down. BTW, how'd you get a 7 year warranty? Mine's only 5 and it runs out in a couple of weeks (shudder!)

They gave the warranty that way. Also there is another warranty co on the internet that is willing to pick up extended coverage pretty cheap. I can let you know of the co. if you wish.
Back to the truck. The dealer called me today and said the fuel leak/smell didnt show up over time they had and they were going to give it back to me. I told them i didnt want it til it was right, They called after lunch and said the mech drove it to lunchand is pee it out when he got back. So now they are repairing injector #2 saying that was the leak. what do you-all think?
