A buddy of mine has (had) been modding his F-350 for several years. Last year, coming back from a dyno day (I think) down in Tennessee, he smoked the motor just driving down the highway. I figured he would go back with a Ferd motor, but no, he decided to go with the best truck motor available. He got a common rail and built it right from the get go, didn't mess with internals though. He set it up for an eventual 700hp range. Currently he's only got an aftermarket turbo and some go fast programmers since the project put him back $7 or $8k. I haven't seen it run yet, probably two weekends from now. Sounds like its going to be a monster. Crew cab F-350 with long bed (which I don't think we Dodge owners can even order).
