Edge Comp Box

What is the deal with the pump wire? I recently installed a comp box on my 2002 Cummins 5-speed and the pump wire is connected. What happens when the pump wire is not connected? Less power, smoke or ????

Only get about half the power without the wire hooked up.

When it's not conected you get about half power<br>and still a chance at warranty work. :'(
