Yes, red is expensive to shoot.

The ohio dmv said if I tagged under 26000 I could go anywhere. If I tagged it over I had to stay in ohio.

I took plenty of pics while building it and they are posted in a thread on this site here:

Thank you for that link and very nice job looks like that chassis you started with was nice and clean. I really like your attention to detail in merging the two cabs together. Having built many late model wrecks over the years i can relate to the time and labor you have put into this project. You should be very proud of the end results.

Looking at the view from behind i would suggest an end cap on the frame ends to tie them together to finish that off and make it look cleaner also possibly a 3 light bar on that or the tailgate. That crew cab sure makes the entire setup look great the only thing i could say that would be better is if it was 4x4, that will give you something to do next year when you have it all done and become bored

Did you end up with an assembled title from the DMV ?

Again congrats on a fine job and a great work in progress.

There is a center support about 12" in from the rear of the frame. I did it that way on purpose so I can put a 1/2" plate back on the end for a heavy duty hitch mount and "D" rings. I am going to use this thing occasionally to pull a backhoe or dozer.

There is a 3 light bar from the factory just under the center of the tailgate and above the bumper. Kinda hard to see but it's there

Here's a couple current pics where I'm at now:

It's my understanding there are applications where a CDL would be required but a medical card is not.

95Black,

The more i look at your rig the more i like it you are a bad influence on me

I thought you might have something planned for a hitch back there, plenty of room to set up for a pintle for the backhoe/dozer and include a 2" receiver for other things.

Here is a creative idea for your paint, looks like that red box is not in bad shape so what do you think of painting the doors red from the glass down that would be the same line as the box top and carry it forward along the line where the hood tilts. In other words paint the rear of the front fender red and carry that parting line for a little bit on the door in front of the emblem to transition the white and red. Look at it from the straight on side view.

Might have to build one for myself or take a ride down and help you put in an 8.3 with twins = turbo's + chrome stacks

Let me know if you are ever coming up this way and i will get Dan from bridgeway to hook the laptop up for a little custom tuning on the brain

He put a 5.9 Bta in his Chivy pickup but i know he would really like your rig, before they gave him the Pete he had an f-650 service truck.

I'm putting a complete rear air bag suspension off a freightliner next weekend.....should be pretty sweet riding then--already has air ride seats in it.
Agreed, but who started that conversation?

It's all good.

I REALLY like the truck, too bad you don't have the two speed rear.

I want a 2 speed rear in it. I've looked at a couple big truck junk yards and they tell me they are getting hard to find. I'd love to have one put in it.

I've also kicked the idea around of putting an Eaton 10 speed in. They are just a pain in the neck to drive in town, so i'm probably gonna keep the 6 speed or put a 7 speed in it.

I just picked the freightliner air suspension today for $200.00

Also looked at air ride cab suspension setups at the wreckin yard. I'm definately gonna try to put the air ride on the cab too.

I think i have a rebuilt Spicer 2 speed that has a posi unit in it. It was a spare for a 93 Louisville 8000, just the diff only. the truck had a 7.8 and a Allison

it is like 5:40 ratio or something like that.

what make is your rear axle assembly?

Really slim chance here but those tags were embossed with the ratio numbers and sometimes the model. Take a mister bottle and a digital camera under there and mist the area where the tag was and take a bunch of pics from differing angles as it drys. Don't even try to see anything as you are going along, just take pics. Then later on the computer you may be able to see the outline the numbers left in the housing.

you can PM me or post it here.

Ford is always changing things from year to year, the likelihood of the one i have fitting is slim.
