Did I create a problem?

I'm currently doing a bunch of work to my truck - AirDog 100, Oil pressure switch, body work to bed, rear brakes, etc. Somewhere during all this work I realized I had a dead cell in one of my batteries. I disconnected both batteries, charged the good one temporarily and added "buy new batteries" to the list. I have left both batteries disconnected for about two weeks now.

Did I create a problem? Can the truck sit for an extended period of time without batteries? Is there anything I need to "reset" when I install the new batteries? Should I quick go hook up the good battery?

I ask these questions cause I saw a post about resetting tps after battery disconnect.

Tell me I'm jumping at shadows?

Does it start smoking first and then completely disappear or just turn into a ford?

Other than resetting your APPS by the procedure and resetting your radio/clock. I don't see why there should be any problems.

Thanks....found it quickly enough. Tech facts under 24 valve - "resetting the apps". Said it before, saying it again....this site rocks!

Thanks to all that contribute!

I totally agree with you ClayBob....this site rocks.
I'm about to replace both batteries in my truck and I was too wondering what is the best approach. Do I remove one battery at a time or remove both? Knowing that I only need to reset the APPS, I will remove both batteries.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to answer all our questions and sharing your knowledge.

Merry Chrismas everyone.
