Deceleration thump
I just purchased a 99 2500 76k miles with auto tranny and EZ module. I noticed that when I decelerate or accelerate suddenly I feel a thump. I cannot hear the thump but I can feel it through the truck. It reminds me of the feeling of a loose engine mount. I don't know the history of the truck so I don't know if the tranny was modified for the extra power. What do you think the thump may be?

Re:Deceleration thump
It could very well be the shocks. I did notice the truck is a little unstable when going over real rough things....like slow traffic, gang bangers and protesters.
Jack had a problem with his bearings. Not his, the trucks.
Problem with a front end is so many things can cause the noises.

Re:Deceleration thump
The stereo has yet to be upgraded. The front wheel bearings and hubs have been replaced, the ******* said they were cracked and that was causing the thump. Do I look Stupid
? I have a due bill to fix the thump though so I am sure some type of battle will ensue.

Re:Deceleration thump
Dealer told me it was the track bar...replaced it...still a thumpin'. I had play in the outer right tie rod end and the tie rod end at the pitman arm. Replaced those and put all my stock shocks back on. thump gone
Had an alignment yesterday...feels real nice now.

good luck.
