4x4 front hub
I think a got a passenger front hub going out, I called the my dealer and they told me to jack that side of the truck up and grab the wheel at the 12:00 and 6:00 postion and try to move the wheel up and down and if it moves then the hub is bad.
They gave me a price of 306.00 plus tax for that hub. Anybody know where I can get one cheaper or even one froma wrecked truck maybe. They told me that the front hubs are differnet on the 2500 and 3500. That a 3/4 hub will not work on a 1-ton truck.

I am going to jack the truck up this afternoon and see if it moves, hopefully I just need new brake pads. I can heal and feel a little vibration going down the road feels like on that side at times. It does it everynow then then but we can tell when it is rubbing or grinding.

Re:4x4 front hub
My left side bearings went out. Napa has the hub assembly for $225.00. The replacement wasent to bad. Moving the wheel at the 6 and 12 oclock position is correct. Mine had lots of movement in it.

Re:4x4 front hub
my driver side is going out and i got one coming from a salvagefor 150.00 dealer wanted 285. for one. When i get the old one off i'm going to take it apart and look at the bearing assembly and see if their is a way to replace the bearing inside the hub. when they go out the grind and make a thumping noise going down the road. i'll keep you posted on what happens .
