dead pedal when cold?

Ok heres a strange one, the truck 2002 ram.
let it sit overnight, get out in the mornings , starts right up,idles normal, hit the pedal it will rev up as normal.
put in gear and head down the street, top speed about 30 tops, has the dreaded dead petal (but, not showing any codes) .
However, go about 500 yards, and truck starts to pick up power, and acceleration becomes normal. and it runs fine for the rest of the day?
it's acting like it's fuel starved, but only when it sits overnight..
any ideas?

Mine did that for 100K miles, I replaced ECM and sensors, nothing helped. I could leave the heater plugged in and it was fine. The VP-44 finally died, replaced it and the problem was gone. Mine was bad when the warranty expired but the dealer wouldn't tell me. The replacement pump ran about 300K before it failed. I am in the process of replacing it now.

yeah sounds similar to what my truck was doing when i first start the truck it would have no power but by the time i made it to the end of my street it would be fine. I had a few other problems like dead pedal while driving on the highway at a constant speed. I replaced the vp44 and all the problems went away.

Sounds just like mine, 4+ years ago it started, got worse, I changed out the VP44 to correct the problem.

A few weeks ago, a cool morning I got a dead pedal again. Ask your parts dealer for a quantity discount....I am
