Concerns after VP replacement
Concerns after VP replacement
Well it finally happened to me the other day, got on the go pedal a little bit, let off of it coasted a while then shut off, I restarted it, thankfully I was only a few hundred yards from the garage, as I rolled in the driveway it quit again, tried a restart and it just cranked. Scanned it for codes, fearing the worst 2 counts of P1688 so thanks to this site I was able to learn the VP was to blame, Well i replaced it the next day, I have about 100 miles on it since then, what should i expect mileage wise? Also now my Juice turbo timer no longer is working, could this be because the VP wire isnt tapped now??? at least not till the lift pump gets beefed up.
I can't address the Juice (but the wire might have something to do with it)
Check www.edgeproducts.com for better info.
but most folks mileage goes up a little when a new VP is installed.
The old pump gets worn and pressures sometimes drop off.
The new pump tightens everything back up.
