code problem i need help bad

Well to start off my temp gage would only work when it wanted to started in june and now it aint working at all. My check engine light came on on saturday and i did the key trick and got code p1693. I looked it up and it is a dtc in the ecm or pcm. Then sunday night i fueled up and reset my trip meter and drove home and did the key trick again and got the code p1693 and p460 i looked up 460 and it is no fuel level change in miles. i reset codes by takeing battery cables off for 30 mins. Did the key trick and only got 1693. I started my truck monday morning and looked at my trip meter and it was at 0.0 but worked as soon as i drove off. Tuesday night i put a obdII on my truck and it is saying p0125 closed loop fuel control insufficient coolant temp. I need help oh ya my cruise aint working either the light saying cruise comes on but dont work. I need help. ------------------------------------------

2000 dodge extended cab short bed cummins 4x4 automatic all stock except strait pipe and i took turbo ring out.

Might be the water temp sensor. The cruise is vacuum operated, might check all the vacuum lines going to the cruise control system under the drive side battery. Sometimes battery acid will leak from the battery and take a vacuum line out in the process.

1693 is called a "companion" code...this tells you that a DTC is present. You will see this code & then the DTC code. You may have a ground wire problem by the sounds of things. I would check all grounds from engine to frame & the rest, clean them & reinstall. Your truck is running in limp mode, I'm no expert, but I'd say that if it isn't a ground problem....possibly the coolant temperature sensor is faulty or your computer is taking a dump. A friend of mine had a similar problem & it turned out to be the gauge cluster was bad. It is hard to diagnose without seeing it myself.

Good thoughts Mike D, but he is also saying that the trip odometer is acting up & code 460 [no fuel level change in miles]. This is why I was thinking ground or cluster.
