Checked my codes yesterday. P2106- Injection Timing Malfunction. Does anyone know what may have caused it.

 

Check again. I think you're talking about the P0216 which indicates the injector pump is probably going bad. Have you had any dead pedal or loss of power problems?

 

It just happens sometimes...I had my injection pump replaced yesterday because of this code.

 

Yes I have had some dead pedal. The truck sometimes wont build power. I have to down shift and get the RPM's obove 2K before going to 5th. I thought it was the fuel filter so I recently changed it. I have not drove it since I replaced the filter.

 

How do you get the code to show up on your dash?

 

switch the key off-on 3 times without starting the engine. leaving it on the last time. codes should come up and then P-DONE when its finished.
Does those symtoms go away after the truck has cooled and sat for awhile? Mine started doing this yesterday and ran great this morning after sitting over night. The code didnt come back today after I cleared it last night.

Truck musta fixed itself.... YEAH RIGHT!
