clutch

my clutch finally slipped with a 20 foot steel goose neck horse trailer unloaded what is some of yalls past experence with this it is not toast yet how long can i get it to last

My experience was once it started slipping it went fast. I was able to drive it ok just could not hammer it. Had to drive reeaal easy.

if you still have a stock clutch with your mod's you are doing good , but you are in line for a sbc upgrade ....... go for it. do it at you conveniance, not after you have to get towed

If you want to make the clutch last....good rule of thumb is to never hammer down from a dead stop. The stock clutch pressure plate doesn't reach full clamping force until around 1500rpm [give or take]. Try easing into the throttle gradually.
