Nothing filled out about your truck. Is it 4x4? Check the axle joints.
Check front driveshaft u-joints also, especially at the double-cardan joint that's where a lot of squeaks come from.

check swaybar likns. thats the culprit on mine right now, and it was the same on my dads 1500. Also check the tierods...weell that would be over bumps, but if its constant driving check axle joints if it is a 4x4 and also your bearings.

axle shafts do spin with the front drive line when in two wheel. They are always locked to the hubs. They just spin freely. After getting the reputation of being able to do axle hubs on dodges i have become very popular and have found that they are directly splined to the axle hub.

Drive it is 4wd and see if the noise lessens. If it does i would suspect a bad axle joint.
