Front end shaking.. comes and goes.. 25mph to 40mph..

I bought a 1993 D350 dually regular cab with a flat bed like a month ago.

Here is the problem I have...

The truck has a bad vibration/shake on the front, it does not happens all the time, but it is always between 25 and 40mph, when I turn the steering wheel to the right, it shakes a LOT, like if the front passenger tire is jumping of the ground... it shakes the whole truck, steering wheel...

Today when I was driving on the hwy, at 60/65mph, from time to time I could hear a vibration noise from the front,m but no actual vibration on the truck...

It doesn't matter if I'm in gear or neutral, so I don't think is anything with the transmission...

What it's strange, is that it comes and goes, like every 5 or 10 minutes... I think it happens more often when the truck is warm, but I'm not really sure about that.

What do you guys think it can be? Tie rod? Ball joint? U-joint?

I know my truck had worn out king pins and at 35-40mph it would shake really bad. I would maybe check the wheel bearing torques and lug nuts. I had a wheel fall off and that did strange stuff before it happened.

based on you saying d250, this truck is 2wd so it cant be a u-joint up front. when you say in neutral, do you mean. in neutral while going down the road at that speed? if i had to guess maybe a bad wheel bearing? mine used to shake like crazy at 60 mph...outer right wheel bearing was the problem, when i took it out...well it wasn't pretty haha. someone else will chime in shortly with other probable causes....good luck with it!

Quite possible it's a bad tire. Try rotating the tires front to rear to see if it changes. Also, on first gen duallies the wheels must be centered with a couple of conical nuts before the wheel nuts are torqued down. Without centering the wheels, you will induce some vibrations.

What I noticed today is that it vibrates always from 25 to 40 (around), but some times it shakes (only if I turn the steering to the right a little, if it is straight or to the left, it is fine...)

Yes, that is what I meant... But a bad bearing would make some noise all the time?

I serched about that before, it is kind o similar to that, the only difference is that mine happens only if I turn the wheel to the right a little, if it is straight or to the left, it doesnt vibrat/shake...

Yep, the boot's open so there's a definite possibility that there's play there. Jack it up under the lower control arm, as far outboard as possible, the. Grasp the tire at the top and bottom and give it a shake.

check ALL ball joint and tie rod stem/studs and castle nuts for looseness - they can cause shaking too.
