I was advised in a previous thread that my 01 had a check valve in the fuel return line on the VP44 .I suspect mine might be bad. I was told it was an easy replacement. I went to my local Dodge parts man, he had no idea what I was talking about! Does anyone have a part#, or more specific info on this valve? Thanks Frank

 

It's the banjo bolt on the return line on the pump.

Be carefull going to Dodge guys or Dodge dealers. Some of the smaller Chrysler dealers are NOT diesel cert.ed and will not work on the cummins. They'll do everything else on your truck though. Try to find a Cummins dealer around your area. The one by me always asks for my engine serial number BEFORE researching parts for me. Go to the source and ask the horse if ya know what I mean...
