I have a 99 2 wheel drive manual and a 98 4 wheel auto. the 98 had a very bad fire.(cab and electricial are a total loss) I want to put the 2 wheel cab and motor on the 4 wheel, with the auto. I found the pcm harness for the auto - What more will i need that i am not thinking of - can the cummins ecm be programed to the auto without getting a new one?

 

The tranny is controlled by the PCM on right side of cowl.

 

Just for curiosity, why the 98 caught on fire?

 

i am told they were playing with a programer on 2 different trucks and didnt get set back right??? I think there was more to it but there was no ins on it so i dont know!!
