Brakes are locking up when you turn the wheel.. HELP!

Its the same 99 I have been having problems with. Now when you turn the steering wheel the brakes will completly lock up. It will just spin the back tires tring to push it. I have no idea what could be doin this. They will not copletly realese when you let off the steering wheel. Any information would help.

Just ideas no facts.

Check for pinching brake lines in the front end while turning.

The power steering and brakes are run using the same power steering pump. So maybe the power steering pump is weak and giving all power to the power assist steering vs brakes???

How hard of a turn are we talking about, full lock, 1/4 turn 1/2??

If I am going down the road and just change lanes they will start to lock up. If you try to turn a corner I have to put the truck in 4low to get around it.

the soft flex hoses to the calipers might be binding. 99's had standard rear wheel only abs, 4 wheel abs was an option for that year, if u have wires going to your hubs then u got 4 wheel abs, if u dont then u can rule out the abs as a cause. is the brake pedal going to full rise after depressing it, if not then its the master. 2500ram is partialy correct, the vacume pump turns the powersteering pump and is a 2 piece unit the ps pump does not control any brake function, only the vacume pump does. . could be a bad abs controller if u have 4wheel abs
