Boost gauge problem

I have a banks powerpack on my 2001 H.O. sometimes when im driving the gauge shows little or know boost but you can hear the turbo spooling. I got onto it one day just to make sure and the turbo spooled up fine but the guage read only 11lbs of boost when i know that it should have been over 20lbs. any help would be great. thanks

sounds like you may have a leak or kinked tube.
the fittings can get over tightened really easy, that will colapse the hose and restrict it as well.
check over your tubing to see if it is kinked or may have a whole rubbed through it somewhere. Then check the connections, remove the ends and look at the end of the tube you should be able to see inside the tube past the fitting. If not than it was overtightened and the tube is mushed.
hope that helps.

BTW hows your EGT's? Performance?
Just want to make sure it's not a differant problem.

My EGT's remain normal and the wierd thing is it only happens part of the time, like today when i left it was acting up not really even reading any boost but on the way back it was totally normal.

He's got a Banks Power PAck on there he should be getting over 11psi all the time. Before the mods I could get 20 on a regular basis.
Everyones trucks are a bit differant but 11 psi is nothin.

boost

When i put the banks quick turbo on i had to lengthen the wastegate hose quite a bit so im going to replace it and see if ican shorten it up, i can sqeeze it pretty easy, so well see what that does. I checked all the boost tubes and they were good. and i checked the seal for the airintake.
