Best Tech Manual?

I am looking for the best technical manual that provides internal engine service info such as all torque specs, bearing clearances, how to for rebuilds etc. have not seen anything at the local parts houses that is specfic enough for me. I have a hard time with the whole, one manual fits all models.

Does Cummins or DC have anything?

I've been wrenching for over 25 yrs , if I am going to keep something , the manual to get is the factory shop manual , general speaking , from dealer .
But in this case there are other sources , I got one from Geno's Garage , a search should find .

www.techauthority.com is the official site for the official manual.
Geno's garage sells the same thing.

Either paper version or CD.

CD's you find on Ebay are most likely illegal copies.

I too got mine from Geno's and it ran about $100 maybe a bit more. I've seen em on Ebay for well under that price. But when we were installing my backup lights I had to know which wire was which in order for a correct power wire. The "brown wire with the violet stripe" was the one according to the Service Manual and as soon as we made the splice and tested it, all which was correct, my buddy says, "that Service Manual just paid for itself...." I agree!!

Redbeast-how do you mean Alldata is cheap , I thought the poster was looking for a manual - one person -one truck , Alldata is one of 2 buis based computer info systems , haven't checked lately , but $5,000-$7,000 before the computers they want your to buy from them .

blake2500 , Haynes suck along with anything that is not a factory manual , as above Geno's or Techauthority .
If your in a pinch the after market [ haynes ect ] will give your a little info , but if you do any of your own work to speak of , they are waste of money , I'm out of the repair buis now , I have had every thing , including the computer based systems , books , Motor's , Mitchell , still have a truck load of books , almost any that I've seen over the yrs , most of the after market stuff has been picked out of junkers & thrown on the shelf for loaners .

You can get a membership (non business) with them for about $35-40 a vehicle...membership requires yearly renewal...

The Haynes/Chilton's are good manuals and both have something the other doesn't but there is no replacement for the factory manual...

Factory manual-. I've seen a lot of false and incomplete info in the haynes manuals... Chiltons were a little bit better but nowhere near the factory manual.

Just my 2c
