I'm doing first fluid and filter change at 30k today. Bought B&M drain plug to install while pan was off. Brief instructions on package don't mention it, but would it be a good idea to use loctite on the nut (inside pan) for the drain bolt (not plug itself)? Any input would be appreciated. 2002 47re 4x4. Could not hurt... can't see oil affecting it in any way. I would.

Well I used loctite and change and install went fine. This morning I go out and spot a new drip spot on the driveway. Fluid is leaking out of the drain plug . Wouldn't have thought I would have need to teflon tape plug bolt, wouldn't want bits running around the inside of the trany. Maybe I'll see if I can't get another quarter turn. Any thoughts? Yes there is, but it was leaking out around threads, jus an occasional drip, of the plug. Did what I should have done first thing and got another 3/4 turn on it, seems to have done it. Thanks.
