B&M Transmission Drain Plug

I'm helping a friend change the tranny fluid in his truck this week. We are also installing a B&M drain plug. The instructions do not call for using anything, i.e. thread locker, RTV sealant, etc. He and I would feel better about using something to secure the nut on the inside of the pan. Welding is not an option and neither one of us is much good a soldering, so I'm inclined to either use red thread locker on the nut threads or maybe use some JB Weld Quick to secure the nut to the pan. Has anyone used either and, if so, how did it work. I have done several searches on this site and read most threads that had B&M drain plug in them. Most people used nothing; some respondents welded the nut to the pan; some used RTV sealant. I didn't see anything about thread locker or JB Weld. I don't think the hot tranny fluid would impact either of these products since both have a max. heat range in excess of 300 degrees.
The instructions call for a maximum torque of 25 ft. lbs to secure the nut and drain assembly.
