Front of the engine, on the driverside, just below and in front of the intake. Black cover has four phillips head screws. Under that is the APPS unit. You will also see just above the IP three 15mm head bolts. Those hold down the bracket the APPS bolts to.

depends on which year you have, and if you are lucky it can be in three locations on an 04.5, it could be located down by the go pedle, up in front of the air intake horn, or under the drivers side battery....... yup, those are the three possibilities on an 04.5.

when you take that black cover off and you see where your throttle cable hooks up. The point where it hooks up is the apps. It is all one big assembly. The actual sensor part is behind all that, you cant see it without taking the apps unit off. There are 5 or 6 bolts holding it on. The throttle cable comes off easily with a flathead screwdriver to pop it off. The other two slide foward to get them off

Its the pear shaped black plastic cover just half under the intake elbow, front of the head.

raybob,

I haven't been a TDR member for a couple years but my photo galleries are still there. Here's a link to pictures I took when I replaced my APPS. Hope this helps.
