Apps reset

I did a apps reset on my truck before a recent camping trip of app. 1800 miles. My truck ran the best it ever has and pulled like never before. Two weeks ago I pulled a 6000 lbs trailer and truck ran fine. My question is should I replace the apps sensor or is the reset all I need to do unless it messes up again. Truck sits most of the time but I am planning a trip to Maine next spring. Thanks in advance.

If the reset did it's job there is no need to replace the sensor.
Basically, the reset makes the computer learn what the sensor sends.
Degraded wiring and ageing of the sensor make it necessary to re-train the computer to learn how the sensor works now.
At this age of the truck I think it is worthwhile to clean all the grounds and all the connectors. And to conserve them with dielectric grease.
